The Academy
The core objective of the Academy is to advance excellence in clinical care, research, education, and training in the fields of Dermatology and Venereology. The aims of the EADV are essentially realised through its Congresses and Symposia, the publication of its official scientific journal, the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (JEADV), and provision of CME accreditation.
EADV also supports the maintenance and enhancement of high standards in professions related to Dermatology and Venereology and public health services and other professions or practices that the Academy may from time to time consider relevant, and acts as the advocate and educator of patients with cutaneous or venereal diseases.
How to become a member
Membership is open to all Dermatologists and Venereologists as well as trainees or residents in dermatology. EADV membership includes the subscription to the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology (JEADV), substantial discounts to attend all EADV annual congresses and spring symposia. Each member will receive also the EADV newsletter and a membership access only to the EADV website. Please register on line or consult the website www.eadv.org for more information on the Academy.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
The Congress is accredited by the European Medical Association (UEMS) in Brussels. Participants will receive a certificate and will need to notify the national authority in the country where they practice about their CME status from this event by sending a copy of the certificate. The national authority is responsible for how UEMS points are attributed nationally. UEMS accreditation includes a charter recognised by the American Medical Association and the American Accreditation Council.
